Shelf Support

Shelf replaces the Chrome new tab page with a private bookmark dashboard for search, smart collections, duplicate cleanup, and bookmark rediscovery.

Basic use

1. Install the extension.
2. Open a new Chrome tab to launch Shelf.
3. Use the sidebar to browse all bookmarks, smart collections, cleanup views, and folders.
4. Use search to find saved pages by title, URL, domain, or folder path.
5. Use duplicate cleanup only when you want Shelf to remove extra saved copies.

Troubleshooting

• If Shelf shows no bookmarks, confirm Chrome has bookmarks in the current profile.
• If visit insights are empty, confirm the extension has history permission enabled.
• If duplicate cleanup does not remove an item, refresh the page and check whether the bookmark still exists in Chrome Bookmark Manager.
• If another new-tab extension is installed, Chrome may allow only one extension to control the new tab page.
